My love for writing has been the greatest catalyst to leap into copy editing. This passion started at a young age in school, taking every creative writing class I could. Writing has been my saving grace, my highest form of processing, and a way for the world to see me. As my career in writing is progressing, writing my own poetry book, a screen play, stand-up comedies, and essays, I had a call to help others grow with their writing as well.

My copy editing journey began years ago, as I edited school papers for my loved ones. I then began helping others to edit their newsletters, essays and books.

A book I recently had the pleasure of editing, Blooming Upside Down, will be available for purchase January 25th. I am very proud of this work, and the beautiful messages placed within this healing memoir.

What I have noticed while editing, is that even after people ran their papers through various programs, such as Grammarly, or other forms of AI, I still found many errors these programs would miss.

As we evolve as a society, I stand firmly in my belief that copy editing is a sacred human task, keeping the voice and humanity within what the writer wishes to convey to the reader.

When I discovered the passion I had for manuscript editing, it was such an aha moment for me. It was as though my brain’s innate structural patterning to dissect grammar and line edit was a thrillingly satisfying puzzle to put together so sweetly.
